New Year, New Day, Same Old Monday

Welp, 2016 ended (finally). I’m certain some of us are glad to see it go. Perhaps it was an emotional rollercoaster for you or a spiritual upheaval. Maybe it was a year of disappointments or defeat. Even if it was the best year ever (I rather doubt it), you are still looking at it through the rear view mirror.

If it was a terrible, ugly year, breathe a sigh of relief. You survived (when many didn’t). You have memories of how you coped with loss, anger, resentment, and failure. Just remember, it’s only a chapter in your story.

If it was an amazing, beautiful year, breathe a sigh of relief.  You survived. You have memories of how you coped with birth, happiness, and success. Just remember, it’s only a chapter in your story.

After celebrating the new year  (at a party you’re may or may not remember {leaning toward may not}), you can now start fresh.

2017 is a blank slate. As you fill it in, don’t forget all the hard work you put in last year, earning those memories lessons.

Don’t worry if 2017 starts a bit rough. The first day you remember/crawled out of bed was a Monday.
