There’s always one time a year when you don’t want to leave the house (just one?). It’s usually due to inclement weather (winter) or the neighbors [not mine though, I don’t have anything bad to say about them…or anything to say about them, really; I hardly know them…that’s what comes from never leaving the house].
Some days, I long to just sit in front of the TV and do nothing (best days ever). Of course, some days you need to do something to occupy your time (more than nap?). That’s why I have video games.
It just seems so blah these days. We aren’t inundated with Christmas carols until we puke red and green sparkles. Christmas passed and everyone seemed to say “Finally!” and everything remotely holiday stopped. The ball dropped on New Years (some people remember it). Now, what’s left? The slow trudge toward Valentine’s Day?
Great, we can celebrate a massacre with gift cards and chocolates…or is it a saint’s day? I’m pretty sure, though, there’s not much between then and now.
How? Well, for one, the toy store’s empty. Sure, we still don’t have all the hottest, in-demand toys back in stock from Christmas, yes, the return season is over (thank goodness I survived), but no one wants to leave home unless they have to. [I’m not complaining.]
Holiday travel from the end of November to the start of January wears people out. Christmas seems to make people cranky. And winter is just plain cold. So, stay in. Enjoy hot chocolate, snuggle up to the fire, read a good book, watch TV/movies, or just play video games. It’s too cold to go outside; but really, what’s the point? There’s so much to enjoy inside (like the back of my eyes).
