With only 21 days until Christmas [and little snow on the ground], the lights are still going up and getting turned on.
Store’s have been prepping for months, now; but neighborhoods are finally starting to get the memo. Not every house is lit, yet. Though I don’t expect them all to be. Some had lights as early as last week. Others are only just blooming.
Magic drifts in the air on the fairy lights, but it just doesn’t feel like Christmas without snow. (The first official day of winter is still 16 days away). And the weather can’t decide if it should be winter or autumn (it’s Michigan).
I’m sure soon, I’ll hate the cold and snow and won’t be able to wait until it’s thawed. But, until the presents sit under the tree, it can’t snow enough for me (…well, as long as it’s under one foot). I mean, who doesn’t want a white Christmas?
But, the cold weather does mean one thing: the ski slopes will be open. [And, everyone looks like Rudolph].
