So, by now, you’re probably wondering why you’re even bothering to go to work. I mean, the Olympics are on. Why do anything else?
We’ve seen hockey, curling, speed skating, biathlon, figure skating, snowboarding, luge. And it’s only been four days.
It’s only going to get better.
Who can concentrate at work? There are medal ceremonies to watch. Medal counts to pour over. Athlete bios to memorize.
A country to root for.
They can’t win on their own. They need your support. They need you, specifically, to watch them. You know the good luck dance, pose, move, couch seat that will bring gold home for your country’s athletes.
So, if you’re one of the lucky few (read: those with foresight) who took time off for the Olympics, live the dream. For the rest of us, we just need to find a doctor who’ll write a note for Olympic Fever.
