There are a lot of great things about being single [regular readers might remember I sometimes complain about the single life (but that’s usually just around Valentine’s Day, so doesn’t count).]; you just have to know where to look. And how to enjoy them.
I can spend my money on myself (translation: video games).
I can spend time enjoying the things I like (translation: video games).
I can walk around the house sans clothes [as long as my brother’s not home (at least wear underwear, yikes)].
I don’t have to meet strangers (also known as your significant other’s family).
I don’t have to pretend I like things that I don’t (i.e. anything other than video games).
I don’t have to respond to text messages right away (or at all).
I don’t worry about my appearance.
I don’t have to share my Easter candy.
Really, that’s all it boils down to. Don’t eat my candy (especially the chocolate bunny ears…and tail). That’s like the most important rule in life. Pretty sure it’s the only thing I learned in first grade.
