Unknown Phone Numbers

Do you ever get called by numbers you don’t recognize?  It’s one thing when it’s on your home phone (who still has a land line?); but when it’s your cell, it makes you even more curious…at least it makes me more curious.  I search the number on the internet to see who’s been calling me.  But that’s not odd, right?  I can’t be the only one who does that (actually, I could be).

Yesterday, I got two calls from numbers and area codes I didn’t recognize.  So, I searched them and found that they were both from Texas, both from the greater Houston area.  Odd, considering I don’t think I know anyone from Houston, Texas…um, so, why were they calling me?

Easiest answer was that it was a wrong number; but that means that my number is close to another number (how often does a Texan call a Michigander?).  The next most likely solution was that it was a political call (well, it is voting season).  But I like to consider all the outcomes.

It could have been Nolan Ryan, offering me Ranger’s seats (unlikely).  It could have been Nastia Liukin (even more unlikely).  It could have been former President Bush, either of them, (still very unlikely) trying to get me to vote on something or another or someone.

I guess this means I’m starting to become a celebrity (or just another indication that you shouldn’t put your number on the internet).

I just wish they had left a message.  Then, I could have known who was calling me while I was at work…unfortunately, they didn’t; so I guess I’ll never know.

I live in Texas…Maybe it was me stalking you. 😉 No I don’t live in Huston.

I hate not knowing who it is calling me.
