Nerds everywhere rejoice. Today, finally, Kinect: Star Wars is released. We now have the chance to be Jedi sans controller. We will be able to feel the Force flow through us, in us, and around us.
Sure, there are multiple modes, like dancing for Jabba, smashing things as a rancor, and podracing; but we’re all looking forward to playing as a Jedi and using the Force to duel Sith, fight battaltions of stormtroopers and droids, and just be awesome in general.
And, parents are happy, of course. (Not only because they secretly love Star Wars, too.) Their kids finally have a game that forces them to move around and get exercise (the life of a Jedi is not easy). So, instead of playing for hours, sitting down, kids will be playing for minutes, standing up.
Personally, I’m looking forward to swinging a lightsaber and throughing the Force around, even if I’ll need to take a break every five minutes (maybe this will help me get into shape for summer).
At least the weather’s cooperating. It’s raining, here (you know what that means, video game day. All day.).
